My client, a start-up that is growing rapidly and is currently looking to hire an experienced PHP Developer with Laminas. This is an exciting role, working on a very interesting new API-first SaaS product with a great agile team around you. They are building a best of breed, modular, flexible booking engine and are putting together a strong team to help them realise this.

 

They are looking for a passionate PHP engineer who thrives crafting simple, scalable solutions and who works within a team but also is able to work off their own initiative. Working in Agile

 

In this role you will be working on a platform that already has some of the largest manufacturers in the world on it, finding technical solutions, ensuring 24×7 uptime and contributing directly to the day to day booking experience of thousands of people around the world.

 

 

Experience Needed

 

4 to 5+ years of PHP experience with any modern PHP Framework (preferably Laminas – but any modern Enterprise Framework is good), strong experience with SQL databases and working on PHP complex custom applications. Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

 

Passionate about PHP development

Extensive experience with a modern PHP Framework – e.g. Laminas (ZF3), Symfony 3+, Laravel, etc.

Good API Dev experience

Experience building modular applications

Experience with ORMs – e.g. Doctrine

Experience & understanding of IoC

Experience with Unit Testing

Well versed in modern PHP development – i.e. PHPUnit, Composer, PSR, etc

HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript etc

Ability to analyse problems and create solutions

 

 

Nice to haves:

 

Experience with Vagrant & Puppet

Experience deploying multi-server applications

SQL knowledge and understanding of database design

Open Source contributions

Experience with localisation

Experience with Continuous Integration

Experience with Microsoft Azure

Interest in the sharing economy

 

 

 

 

Permanent Role.  Based in Dublin City Centre (1-2 days in office, rest remote)

 

Candidates must have fluent English
