Logistics and Manufacturing Engineer – Automotive Tech

My client is looking to hire a Manufacturing and Logistics Engineer to look after the logistics and other areas within the business. They are a dynamic and innovative technology company producing market disruptive technology. They design & develop software, hardware, optics and illumination systems. They are expanding rapidly across Europe and the USA and have a solid growth trajectory and the candidate will be key in providing high level support for their customers. You’ll join a growing company with a close-knit team of engineers who love their work.

The Role

Working with a small dynamic team of engineers, the  Manufacturing and Logistics Engineering role is varied between arranging the following: Packaging of product and generating shipping invoices & packing lists,  overseeing outbound & return shipment, Spare parts logistics & planning, Rental fleet management, Vehicle Fleet management, company equipment mounting advisor and other related technical/manufacturing tasks.

In addition to these areas, overseeing and implementing Support updates, software updates and Licensing updates will also a requirement. The successful candidate will be given in-depth training of the company’s technology and products and all aspect of the job.

The main aspects of the role are:

  • Shipping -Including Arranging shipping, returns, Inter continental transits, storage, Packing Machines, shipping documentation,
  • Spare parts – Receiving requests, Issuing Quotes,planning for stock levels, packing parts Shipping invoices & documentation
  • Software updates – Licencing updates – (system for this etc)
  • Own equipment rentals & returns processes
  • Vehicle Fleet Management
  • Assist with other manufacturing operations as required

Essential Technical Skills for this role:

  • Ideally qualified to at least degree level in a manufacturing or Logistics discipline.
  • Experience with international shipping & associated customs tariffs and requirements.
  • Good Technical aptitude for vehicles & mounting equipment to vehicles
  • Good communication skills required & English language are essential.
  • Proficient with MS office suite

Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland/EU,

Full clean Driving Licence

Permanent role in Dublin South.
