Role Overview

Our Client is currently looking to recruit a Software Design Web Engineer. The responsibilities of the Software Design Web Engineer are to develop .NET web based applications with ASP.NET 2.0., DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML and AJAX. Job Purpose - Responsibility for the development of ASP.NET web applications and the mentoring of junior team members - Collaborate with fellow team members, Information Architects and Interface Design lead to ensure that UI designs and implementations sufficiently and consistently pass quality bars that are defined - Ensure that implementation standards are consistently applied across all of the web application projects and that implementation standards and processes are continuously improved Responsibilities - Responsible for developing, documenting, and co-owning the Web development standards - DHTML/AJAX web development - .NET Web Sites/Services development - Work with internal stakeholders to define installation platform interfaces and requirements - Analyze instrumentation data to understand and resolve customer-impacting issues Minimum Qualifications - Experience designing web properties for Brand sites, CMS sites, large-scale sites, community driven sites, accessibility considerations, working with meta data and large scale taxonomies - Passion for good customer experiences, and for technology. - 4+ years of Web application development experience. - Strong object-oriented design skills and coding experience in C#. - Experience with agile development methodologies beneficial. - Track record of achieving results in a fast moving and challenging environment - Excellent knowledge of .NET, ASP.NET, Javascript, XML, XHTML, AJAX and RIA
